Every other coating job starts by polishing out damage that is already there — and that is most of the labour. A car with delivery miles on it skips all of it, which is why this is one visit at a fixed price rather than a survey and a quote.
A word on price first: we are rarely the cheapest quote you will get, and that is deliberate. We use commercial-grade products rather than the cheapest trade tub, we wash and rinse with our own deionised water so nothing dries onto your paint or glass as mineral spotting, and we carry our own power so the job never depends on what is available at your property. That costs more to run and it is the difference between a car that is clean today and one that still looks right months later.
Most people arrive knowing roughly what they want the car to look like afterwards, not which package name matches it. The honest shortcut is this: if the paint is sound and the car is just dirty, you want a valet. If the paint itself has gone flat — swirl marks, cobwebbing, a finish that only looks bad in direct sunlight — no amount of washing fixes that, and you want machine polishing.
Then you want the Full Valet, and you are in the majority — a valet and a full detail are the same job under two names when the paint is already sound.
