New Car
Protection

A new car does not need correcting, it needs sealing before the world gets to it. Paint, glass and wheels all under a 7 year ceramic coating, in one visit, at a fixed price — before the first wash, the first car park and the first winter.

Why do it now rather than later

01

The one time no correction is needed

Every other coating job starts with polishing out damage that is already there, and that is most of the labour. A new car skips it entirely — which is why this costs less than the same coating on a two year old car and takes one visit instead of two.

02

7 year on the glass and wheels, not 2

This is where quotes quietly get cheaper. Glass and wheel coatings are easy to leave at the entry grade because nobody reads that line on the invoice. All three surfaces here get the same 7 year chemistry.

03

A fixed price, genuinely

Not a starting figure with a survey to follow. There is nothing to discover on a car with delivery miles on it, so the number we say on the phone is the number you pay: £499 regular, £549 large.

04

Booked around your handover

Tell us the collection date and we will hold a slot just after it. The aim is that the car is coated before it is ever washed, because every wash beforehand is one whose marks get sealed under the coating.

The Visit

One day,
at home or work

A new car is not a clean car. It has been transported, stood on a forecourt, had a valet with whatever was in the bucket, and picked up rail dust and transit film on the way. All of that has to come off before anything goes on.

1
Safe contact wash, then a full chemical and clay decontamination to lift the rail dust and transit film
2
A single-stage machine polish to remove the forecourt wash marks and bring the gloss up before it is sealed
3
Paint, glass and wheel faces coated in turn, each left to flash between layers — the part that cannot be hurried
4
Interior deep cleaned and the engine bay detailed while the coating cures, then a final inspection in daylight with you

Leave it unwashed for seven days afterwards while the coating finishes hardening.

Regular — hatchback, saloon or estate. Fiesta, Golf, A3, 3 Series, Octavia. Large — SUV, 4x4 or 7-seater. Range Rover, X5, Discovery, Kodiaq, Transporter. Vans are quoted separately. These are starting prices — a car in poor condition takes longer, and we agree the exact figure with you before we start, never after.

The Same Work, Booked Apart

Why it is cheaper as one job

Most of the cost in detailing is setup and decontamination, and doing all of this in one visit pays for it once instead of five times. These are our own published prices for the same work booked separately:

  • Stage 1 + ceramic coating£330
  • Glass coating£50
  • Wheel coating£70
  • Engine bay detail£40
  • Interior Reset£100
  • Booked separately£590
  • New Car Protection£499

A saving of £91 — and the coatings are the 7 year grade throughout rather than the 3 year the separate packages start at.

Straight Answers

Is it worth it on a brand new car?

It is the one moment where the answer is easy, and it has nothing to do with how good the coating is. On any other car, a coating job is mostly correction — hours of machine polishing to undo swirls and wash marks before a single drop of coating goes on, because sealing damaged paint makes the damage permanent. A new car has none of that. You are paying for the coating and the day, not for the repair.

The second thing you are buying is time. A coated car takes a fraction as long to wash, and it stays looking washed for weeks rather than days. Over seven years that is the difference between a car you keep on top of and one you keep meaning to get round to.

If your car is past the cut-off

Nothing is lost — it just becomes a different job. Stage 1 with a coating suits a car that is still in good order; Stage 2 is for paint that has been washed badly for a few years. Both are on the ceramic coating page with their own prices. Ceramic coating packages

If the dealer has offered you their protection

Read what it actually is. Handover paint protection is very often a sealant with a warranty attached rather than a ceramic coating, measured in months, and applied over whatever state the car arrived in. Ask two questions: what is the coating, and how long does it last on the glass and wheels. The answers tend to settle it.

If you want the correction as well

Then you want the All In One — a full two-stage correction plus the coating. That is the right call on a car that is not new, and overkill on one that is. The All In One

Questions answered

Because that is the only moment it is. A coating does not repair paint, it seals whatever is underneath it — so the finish you lock in on week one is the finish you keep for years. Wait twelve months and the swirls from the first few washes are already in there, and they have to be polished out before anything can go on top. That correction is what makes a coating on an older car cost more than this does.
Under 1,000 miles and less than a year old. It is not an arbitrary cut-off: past roughly that point most cars have picked up enough wash marring and road film that the paint needs correcting properly first, and the fixed price stops being honest. If yours is over it, we will quote you for Stage 1 or Stage 2 with a coating instead, which is the same work with the correction added.
No. What a new car leaves the factory with is lacquer, and what it often arrives at the dealer with is a transit wax or a protective film, neither of which is protection in any lasting sense. Anything a dealer sells at handover as paint protection is usually a sealant measured in months. A ceramic coating is a different material — it cures to a hard layer chemically bonded to the lacquer, and it is measured in years.
Because that is where most quotes quietly drop to two. Glass and wheel coatings are cheaper products and they are easy to leave at the entry grade without anyone noticing on the invoice. We put the same 7 year chemistry on all three. On the glass it means rain clears at speed and the wipers spend most of the year switched off; on the wheel faces it means brake dust rinses away instead of baking on.
Most of a day at your home or work. The car is decontaminated and clay treated — a new car carries rail dust and transit film even with delivery miles on it — then given a single-stage machine polish to take out the forecourt wash marks, then the three coatings go on and are left to flash between layers. The interior is deep cleaned and the engine bay detailed while the coating cures. You get it back sealed and you do not wash it for seven days.
Yes, and more easily. A coating makes dirt struggle to key to the surface, so a rinse does most of the work and a contact wash takes half the time. What it does not do is make washing optional — road film and brake dust still land on it, and left for months they build into a layer that smothers the beading. A coated car washed properly every few weeks is the one that still looks new in year five.
£499 for a regular car and £549 for a large one, fixed. Not a starting figure — there is nothing to discover on a new car, which is the whole reason it can be quoted honestly over the phone. Booked as separate jobs the same work comes to £590, so it saves you £91.
Not at this price. A van is a different job — far more panel area, different coating quantities, and usually a different idea of what the interior needs. We do coat vans and we are happy to quote for one, it just cannot sit behind a fixed car price without one of us losing. Send us the model and we will price it properly.
Please do, it is the best way to do this. Tell us your handover date when you book and we will hold a slot in the days after it. The ideal is that the car comes home, sits, and gets coated before it is ever washed — every wash before the coating is a wash whose marks get sealed in.
