Ceramic
Coating

Lock in 3 or 7 years of protection and a deep, self-cleaning gloss. Professionally applied to paintwork, glass and wheels — at home or work.

Most enquiries answered within the hour · No deposit · No obligation
A ceramic coating goes on after machine polishing, which is why the two are sold together — or as the All In One below, where correction and coating are one visit. Interior work is not included in any ceramic package; it can be added for £50.
Why Ceramic

Protection that lasts

01

3 or 7 years, not months

Unlike wax, a ceramic coating bonds to your paint — choose 3 or 7 years of protection to suit you.

02

Self-cleaning gloss

The hydrophobic surface means dirt and water simply slide off — your car stays cleaner.

03

Deep, wet-look shine

Ceramic adds remarkable depth and clarity, amplifying the finish beneath it.

04

Real protection

Guards against UV fade, bird lime, road salt and light chemical etching.

Wax vs Sealant vs Ceramic

Is it actually worth it?

The honest comparison. If you change your car every year, a sealant may be the smarter spend — and we'll say so.

Wax
6 – 12 weeks
  • Warm, deep glow on darker paint
  • Lowest up-front cost
  • Needs redoing several times a year
  • Little chemical or UV resistance
Sealant
4 – 6 months
  • Sharp, glassy finish
  • Included in our Full Valet and Detailed Valet
  • Good choice for a short-term or lease car
  • Still needs topping up twice a year
Best value long term
Ceramic Coating
3 or 7 years
  • Years of protection from one application
  • Self-cleaning — dirt and water sheet off
  • Resists UV fade, bird lime and road salt
  • Washing takes half the time it used to

A stage 1 package with a 3 year coating from £330 works out at under £9 a month across the life of the coating — and that includes correcting the paint first.

Paintwork Coating & Pricing

Corrected first,
then coated

A coating is optically clear and permanent for its lifespan, so whatever is under it is sealed in. That is why paintwork is sold as a package: the correction the paint needs, and then the coating over it.

Optional Add-Ons

Glass and wheels

None of these needs machine polishing first, so any of them can go on alone or alongside a paintwork package.

Glass Coating

Hydrophobic coating on the glass, so rain sheets away at speed instead of sitting on the screen. The difference on an unlit road at night is the part people notice.

  • Rain sheets off the screen
  • Clearer night driving
  • Easier to keep clean
RegularFrom £50
LargeFrom £64

Wheel Coating

Brake dust bakes onto a hot wheel and etches it. A coated face releases it with a rinse. Priced on how intricate the wheel is rather than how big the car is.

  • Repels brake dust
  • High-temperature resistant
  • Rinses clean in seconds
Basic setFrom £70
Complex setFrom £84

Wheels Off Coating

The wheels come off the car, so the barrels, the inner faces and the backs of the spokes get coated as well — which is most of a wheel's actual surface and all of the part that collects the worst of it. Arches and hubs are cleaned properly while we are in there.

  • Barrels and inner faces coated
  • Arches cleaned behind the wheel
  • Torqued back to the manufacturer's figure
  • The only way to coat a wheel completely
Basic setFrom £239
Complex setFrom £289

Why it costs more than the £70 face coating: taking four wheels off, cleaning the barrels and inner faces by hand, coating eight surfaces instead of four, then refitting and torquing each one is most of a working day rather than an hour in the driveway. You are paying for the labour and the access, not a different coating — it is the same product on four times the area.

New Car Protection

A new car does not need correcting, it needs sealing before the world gets to it. One visit at a fixed price, before the first wash, the first car park and the first winter — and the paint, glass and wheels all leave under a 7 year coating rather than the 2 year most places drop the glass and wheels to.

  • Everything in the Stage 1 package — decontamination, clay treatment, single-stage machine polish
  • Gloss enhancement polish to take out the transit film and forecourt wash marks
  • 7 year ceramic coating on the paintwork
  • 7 year ceramic coating on the glass
  • 7 year ceramic coating on the wheel faces
  • Engine bay detailed
  • Full interior deep clean

Most of a day on site. Cars only — under 1,000 miles and less than a year old. Vans are quoted separately.

Fixed price
Regular£499
Large£549

Not a starting figure — the car is new, so there is nothing to discover and nothing to quote around. Booked as separate jobs the same work is £590, so this saves you £91.

The Difference

Water just
runs away

A coated surface is intensely hydrophobic — rain beads and sheets straight off, taking dirt with it. Your vehicle stays cleaner, dries spot-free, and keeps its gloss for years.

The things
people worry about

Ceramic coating is an industry with a lot of overselling in it. Here's what we will and won't claim.

"Will it stop stone chips?"
No. A coating is a few microns thick — it resists chemicals, UV and light marring, not impacts. Anyone promising chip protection from a coating is selling you paint protection film without telling you.
"Do I still have to wash it?"
Yes, but far less often and far more easily. Dirt struggles to bond, so most of it rinses away. Expect a proper wash every 2–3 weeks instead of weekly scrubbing.
"Is it really 7 years?"
With correct aftercare, yes — that's the coating's rated durability. Put the car through an automatic wash every fortnight and you'll shorten it dramatically. We're upfront about that rather than hiding it in the small print.
"Can I apply one myself for £30?"
You can buy a consumer coating, and it will work for a while. The difference is preparation — decontamination and machine polishing is most of the job, and a coating applied over swirled paint locks those swirls in for years.
Ceramic · FAQ

Questions answered

All of our ceramic coatings — paintwork, window and wheel face — are available in 3 or 7 year protection, so you can choose the level that suits you. Durability depends on aftercare: washed correctly, a 7 year coating will see out its life; put through automatic car washes, any coating will degrade early.
If you keep your car more than a couple of years, yes. A 7 year coating works out at a few pounds a month, replaces years of waxing, keeps the car noticeably cleaner between washes, and protects the paint that makes up a large part of your resale value. If you change car every 12 months, a good sealant may be the more sensible spend — we will tell you that honestly.
A coating is optically clear and permanent for its lifespan — it locks in whatever is underneath it. Apply one over swirled paint and you seal the swirls in for years. That is why paintwork coatings are always sold with the machine polishing the paint needs first.
Yes. Window and wheel face coatings can be added individually — they need cleaning and decontaminating, but not machine polishing. Paintwork coating requires machine polishing first, so it is sold as a package with it.
Two buckets, a pH-neutral shampoo, a clean microfibre mitt, and dry with a plush microfibre towel. No automatic car washes, no washing-up liquid, no brushes. We talk you through the aftercare on the day and it takes about 20 minutes to wash a coated car properly.
No — and be wary of anyone who says otherwise. A ceramic coating is a hard, sacrificial layer that resists chemical etching, UV fade, bird lime and light wash marring. It will not stop stone chips or a key down the door; that is what paint protection film is for.
