Terms & Conditions
The terms we work to, in plain English. Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
Who we are
These terms apply to work carried out by MVH Mobile Detailing ("we", "us"), a mobile vehicle detailing service operating across Staffordshire and the West Midlands. You can reach us on 07311 796805 or at j4ck.stephens2402@gmail.com.
By booking with us you accept these terms. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Prices and quotes
Every price shown on this website is a starting price for a vehicle in reasonable condition. The final figure depends on the size of the vehicle and the state it is in when we see it.
If the work turns out to need more than the price assumed — heavy contamination, pet hair, mould, damage we could not see in photographs — we will tell you before we start and agree a price with you. We will never do extra chargeable work and present you with a bill for it afterwards.
Booking and confirmation
A booking is confirmed when we have agreed a date and a service with you in writing — by email, text or WhatsApp. Until then a slot is not held.
We may ask for photographs of the vehicle before confirming, so the quote reflects the actual condition rather than a guess.
What we need from you
We arrive self-sufficient with our own power and water, so we do not need to use yours. What we do need is safe, legal, off-road space beside the vehicle — enough room to open the doors fully and walk around it.
If we arrive and cannot work safely or legally where the vehicle is parked, and no alternative is available, we may have to treat it as a cancellation on the day.
Please remove personal belongings, valuables and rubbish from the vehicle before we arrive. We will not be responsible for items left inside.
Weather
Rain does not stop us. Washing and decontamination happen wet anyway, and for machine polishing and ceramic coating we work under a vehicle gazebo.
Hard frost or severe winds are the exception: below freezing or high wind we will contact you and move the booking rather than rush the work. There is never a charge for a weather move made by us.
Changing or cancelling
Please give us as much notice as you can. We ask for at least 24 hours to change or cancel a booking, so the slot can go to someone else.
If we cancel or cannot attend, you pay nothing and we will offer you the next available date.
Your 14-day cancellation right
Because bookings are made at a distance — online, by phone or by message — the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within 14 days of making the booking, without giving a reason.
If you ask us to carry out the work inside that 14-day period, you are asking us to begin before the cancellation period ends. If you then cancel after the work has been done, you lose the right to cancel it. If you cancel part-way through, you may be asked to pay for what has already been done.
To cancel, just tell us — a message or an email is enough.
Payment
Payment is due on completion, once you have seen the finished vehicle, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept traditional card payments and cash.
Commercial and fleet customers may be invoiced monthly on agreed terms.
The work, and what it can and cannot do
We will carry out the work with reasonable care and skill, using professional products.
Paint correction is limited by how much clear coat a vehicle has left. We measure paint depth before any machine work, and we will not polish paint past what is safe, even if that means a defect stays in. Some scratches — typically any you can catch a fingernail in — can be improved rather than removed, and we will tell you that honestly before we start rather than afterwards.
We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, failing lacquer, previous poor-quality repairs, or defects that only become visible once dirt is removed. Where we spot something like that we will point it out to you.
Our guarantee
We walk around the vehicle with you before we pack up. If any part of the work is not right, we put it right there and then.
If you are unhappy with something after we have left, contact us within 48 hours with photographs and we will come back and look at it.
Photographs of your vehicle
We often photograph vehicles we have worked on, and we may use those photographs on this website, in our gallery and on social media.
We never publish number plates without permission, and we never publish your name or address alongside a photograph. If you would rather we did not photograph your vehicle at all, tell us — before or after the visit — and we will not, or we will remove it.
Liability
We hold insurance appropriate to the work we carry out. Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out, except where the law does not allow that limit — we do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Complaints
If something has gone wrong, tell us first and give us the chance to fix it. Contact us on 07311 796805 and we will respond within two working days.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute falls to the courts of England and Wales.
